Should I hire web developer or go for website Builder in Auckland, New Zealand?



From 2001 to 2010, Website building platform was playing dominating role in IT industry. People usually like website builder for standard quality, easy to maintenance features. However, scenario is changed completely. I am going to point out some important issues regarding website builder. To be honest, I am not big fan for website builder. 

1.       Lack of Unique view or Creative design: 
      This is the top demerits for website builder. I tried many website builders especially for accountant, doctors /dentists. I found that variety of theme is few in website builder. It looks wizard when many people is using same theme for their business website. Some of website builder company engage marketing rather improving or adding new creative theme or templates.

2.       Expensive: 
      According to my experience, website builder is really expensive , if you compare average cost of website designing by agency. Some website builder is not giving any access to hosting file or source file. You have to spend money each year for your website. For example: One top website builder company offer $1000 for gold package each year. You need to pay $5000 for 5 years , though you need to pay only $1500 for one off website designing by local digital agency.

3.       No Access on File:  
       Very few website builder company offer access to source file. It means you are totally depends on them for any modification, update. You can move to other hosting or other service provider, if you are not happy with there services. 

4.       Not Search Engine friendly: 
      It is strong demerits for website builder. We are developing or designing website for getting new customers or leads. If search engine do not like my site or hard to get rank, it will be worst experiences with website. 70% website builder is not search engine friendly, specially url structure is very poor, use lots of frame , website structure is to much dynamic and complicated to google. If you use E-commerce website builder for E-shop, it will be really hard time for your business.  

5.       Copy Content: 
      We should not blame website Builder Company for copy content. When p ple use website builder, then can easily get ready made content for their services or products. People usually feel lazy for changing content as they already have content. In 2014, Ben William did research on website which is developed by website builder. 75% web site is using same content which provide by Builder Company.   

6.       Poor Customer Support:  
      Some of website builder has satisfied customer support. Unfortunately most of them have not localized customer support for business owner. You may not face this problem, if you hire local digital agency .

1.       Communication: You can easily visit their office or have chit chat regarding your business website. It can be easiest solutions for getting highly professional website.

To sum up, I am not against for website builder or website builder technology. Lots of tech professionals or experts with website builder to fulfil customer needs. Website builder is reliable, easy to use. Drag and drop and top quality. However, I love to hire website designer for my business website. I need to get unique and creative website with after work support from local experts.

Case Study: Step By Step SEO Campaign for Event Management Company



SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization.  It is very handy for digital marketing. In other words, if you have proper search engine optimization campaign, it leads great business for your company. In New Zealand, it is very popular. Business owner usually run seo campaign as soon as they developed business website. Moreover, business owner run paid marketing as well.  According to me, SEO is buying a house; Google adwords is renting a house. He is running event Management Company specially wedding planning and consultation.  Anderson was seeking few help in terms of digital marketing.  7th January, 2016, he came my office and he did written contract for running digital marketing program for his business. After that I was looking kiwi hosting service provider who has local customer support. I ordered domain and took golden hosting package from them.

10th January, 2016, I met Arran Smith; he is working as creative UI designer. I requested him to design and developed business website which as user friendly content management system and looks creative for wedding industry.

25th January, 2016, Arran did outstanding works. Website looks very creative and highly professional. Then we was talking bit for different service pages. Finally, I appointment local content writer to write unique and professional service related content. 

End of January, 2016, everything was sorted and ready to work. Then ball was in my court and Anderson was expecting extra-ordinary work from me. 

1st of February to 5th February, I spend few hours to find out business oriented keywords for this business. Finally, I sorted 20 highly profitable keywords for his business and analyzed competitor website to understand their set up.

10th February, 201 to 20th February, I did all of on page optimization for newly developed website. In addition, I added this site on my google analytics and webmaster tools. I was spending time to check all of indexing metrics and webmaster issues. 

20th February, 2016, I started to do different off page seo work, for example: social bookmarking , local directory submission, video creation, business presentation,  web 2.0 blog creating , guest blogging, relevant blog commenting , forum posting , podcast submission, classified ads posting , business info-graphic creation, press release submission, social page creation and so on. 

Moreover, I was looking all of competitor website and I sorted all of their backlink sources. I was working to get highly authoritative backlink form industry leading sites.

25th March, 2016, we were getting rank for few secondary prioritize keywords and start getting inquires for business. Anderson was really happy for business. Previously it was word of mouth business. Now, he is getting new customer from different part of New Zealand.

 8th May, 2016, I already worked 3 month on this event management site. To be honest, our seo result was outstanding. We got google top1 position for 4 highly competitive keywords, top10 position for 17 keywords and rest of keywords were way to get top rank. 

Each month 1000+ people was looking this type of service. We are getting good number of inquiries and phone calls. 

  Point to be noted, we have made six month plan for this company.  We are working to get leading position in this industry and work to keep rank position steady.

Big Challenges for this SEO campaign

1     * Tourism is big industry in New Zealand. There are many giant companies operating expensive SEO campaign for event management field as well.
2       *There are many giant local directories on top position. This million dollar business.  Single company to pay $300 for each listing. For this reason, they are doing extreme seo programme as well. If they get back from top position, they are losing money as well.  

  *Lots of local competitor.
4    * Hard to get highly authoritative backlinks.
5   * Expensive to hire native writer who has practical experience in this industry.

1.       Do not lose hope
2.       Create unique and professional content
3.       Do proper on page seo

If you have 15 services, try to make 15 different pages for each service. Nowadays, Website content is very important. If you have unique and fresh content regarding services or products, it will be easy to get search rank on Google or other search Engine. 


Check SEO work procedures or SEO report
After hiring SEO expert for your website, you have to talk with that guy or check work procedures.  Google continuously update their search algorithm to ensure best experience for their searchers. So, there is no way to do back hat SEO for getting quick rank. My suggestion will be always keep eyes to work report and progress. Make sure that SEO guy is doing white hat SEO with your business website.
